Icy Roads Reported in Northern Cyprus
On Wednesday, February 12, icy patches formed on several roads across Northern Cyprus, prompting police to urge drivers to be extra cautious.
According to road authorities, the most hazardous conditions this morning were reported on the Mersinlik — Kaplıca section of the Northern Coastal Road and the Yeşilköy — Erenköy stretch of the İskele — Karpaz main road.
Police are advising motorists traveling on these routes to reduce speed, maintain a safe distance, and stay highly alert. Drivers should be especially careful on curves and slopes to avoid accidents caused by slippery roads.
Meanwhile, severe weather continues across Northern Cyprus, with forecasts predicting heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, and snow throughout the day.
