Data leak under investigation at Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre

Violations were detected in the database at the “Kıbrıs Bankası” (Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre), prompting authorities to launch an official investigation into a possible incident involving patients’ personal data.
The exact nature and scale of the leak have not yet been disclosed: specialists are checking which data may have been compromised and whether medical records of patients are affected. Meanwhile, the centre continues to operate normally; treatments and scheduled procedures have not been suspended.
It is expected that upon completion of the initial review, the Ministry of Health and the oncology centre management will provide further clarifications and, if necessary, announce measures to protect data and notify affected individuals.
