In Cyprus, prices for fresh vegetables rose by about 20% — statistics service data
According to data published on October 3, 2025, prices for fresh vegetables in Cyprus have increased by about 20%, reports the newspaper Alithia, citing the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus.
According to the Consumer Price Index (CPI), the monthly increase in fresh vegetable prices was 19.81%. Over the same period, prices for children's goods rose by 12.48%.
In annual terms, the publication notes that the largest price increases were for coffee — 17.92%, chocolate and cocoa — 15.76%, and beef — 15.57%.
At the same time, over the year, the most significant price decreases were observed for potatoes — 43.08% and olive oil — 29.59%. On a monthly basis, the largest decrease was in air transport — 21.80%.
