On February 9th, strong showers and thunderstorms are expected in Northern Cyprus

According to the Department of Meteorology of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), on Friday, February 9th, the region is under the influence of low pressure and cool, humid air.

Meteorologists forecast variable cloudiness, as well as strong showers and thunderstorms, especially in the central part of the country and on the eastern coast. The wind will be southwest, of moderate strength.

The maximum air temperature today will be 19-20°C, which is 2-3°C above the seasonal climatic norm.

North Coast: Kyrenia - 19°C, Lapta - 18°C, Akdeniz - 20°C, Alevkaya - 15°C, Esentepe - 17°C.

West Coast: Lefke - 18°C, Güzelyurt - 2°C.

Central Part: Nicosia - 19°C, Ercan - 19°C.

Eastern Coast: Famagusta - 19°C, Iskele - 19°C.

Karpas: Yenierenkoy - 18°C.
