Mozart's Birthday to be Celebrated with a Free Concert in Northern Cyprus
A concert in honor of Mozart's 268th birthday will take place in Northern Cyprus. The free concert will admit 150 people.
The concert is organized by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and the Environment, the State Coordination Center for Opera and Ballet (TRNCDOB), and the ensemble MYRRHA TRIO, composed of artists from the Presidential Symphony Orchestra of the TRNC.
The performance will take place on Saturday, January 27, at the Arabahmet Kültür Evi Cultural Center in Nicosia. Myrrha Trio, featuring Miray ÇAKIR (violin), Sinem SADRAZAM (viola), and Püren Eda GÖZER (cello), along with soprano Sermin DİKMEN TÖRE and Cansu ÖZCEZARLI (violin), will perform Mozart's Divertimento No. 1 for a string trio.
Before the concert, at 7:30 PM, there will be a "Conversation about Mozart." The concert itself will start at 8:00 PM. The entire event will last for a total of 90 minutes.
The concert with a discussion, which will be free and open to the public, is limited to 150 spectators.
