22-year-old man narrowly escaped drowning in Northern Cyprus
Another water tragedy was narrowly avoided in the TRNC. A 22-year-old young man nearly drowned in Edilke.
According to emergency services, the incident occurred the day before yesterday around six in the morning. The 22-year-old Ozan Kaykuni went swimming in the sea in Edilke and began to drown. Fortunately, the young man was rescued in time.
Initially, the victim was taken to Cengiz Topel Hospital by ambulance, and then, due to the severity of his condition, was transferred to Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia.
The young man is being monitored by doctors in the neurological intensive care unit. An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
