Passport Fees Changed in North Cyprus
Changes to the Passport Law have been published in North Cyprus, updating the schedule of passport fees.
The Council of Ministers will now be able to review fees annually, provided they do not exceed the annual inflation rate determined by the Statistical Institute. At the same time, fees can be increased up to 15 times the amount specified in the law's schedule.
According to the new tariff table:
- Diplomatic passport for 1 year — 2000 TL,
- Diplomatic passport for 2 years — 3000 TL,
- 5-year passport (including diplomatic) — 4000 TL.
If a diplomatic passport is lost or damaged, the fee will be:
- 4000 TL for a 1-year passport,
- 6000 TL for a 2-year passport,
- 8000 TL for a 5-year passport.
The fee for a travel document is set at 1000 TL.
It is reported that the changes have come into effect as of today.
