In Northern Cyprus, 4.5 kilograms of drugs worth 11 million lira were seized

The TRNC police confiscated seven different types of drugs weighing around 4.5 kilograms with a total value of 11 million Turkish lira. It took more than 5 months to develop the special operation to apprehend drug traffickers in Kyrenia and Nicosia.

According to the police press service, on February 6th, 26-year-old Alexey Pakholvak was detained as a result of a planned operation. He appeared in court in Kyrenia in recent days.

During the court proceedings, police representatives stated that the suspect used "artificial intelligence" on social media to place drugs in various locations for distribution.

After the arrest, the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Department conducted a search at the suspect's residence on Kurtuluş Street in Kyrenia, which was under private security.

During the search, 20 grams of marijuana and a metal grinder, presumably containing residues of marijuana-type drugs, were found in the living room of the house. In the kitchen refrigerator door of the residence, 17 packages of chocolate were found, one of which was open, weighing 1,800 grams, presumably containing drugs.

Additionally, drugs were hidden in other boxes with sweets - chocolates, marmalade, and candies. Oil and mushrooms containing narcotic substances, approximately half a kilogram each, were also found here.

On the bedside table in the bedroom, 10 grams of cocaine, the same amount of amphetamines, 180 grams of cannabis, 88 doses of LSD, and liquid with mephedrone were discovered. In total, 4.5 kilograms of confiscated narcotics of seven different types were sent for examination.

Noting that the investigation into the detained individual is ongoing, the police requested to detain him for 2 days. The judge supported this decision.
