A furniture store in Northern Cyprus burned down after a lamp short-circuited
A fire broke out in a furniture store on the main Nicosia–Kyrenia road in Northern Cyprus, local authorities reported. The incident occurred yesterday around 6:00 p.m.
According to the Police Press Office, the likely cause of the fire was a short circuit in a ceiling-mounted lamp.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and extinguished the blaze. Various pieces of furniture on display in the store were damaged by the fire.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing. No further information has been provided.
