A list of illegal terrorist organizations has been published in Northern Cyprus
The Council of Ministers of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has enacted a resolution on illegal terrorist organizations for the year 2024. The document has been published in the "Official Gazette."
According to the published document, it is prohibited in the country to display flags of organizations and their derivatives that have the status of terrorist organizations and whose activities are prohibited in the TRNC territory. The depiction of leaders and members of these terrorist organizations is also prohibited.
The list of terrorist organizations includes, among others, PKK/KONGRA-GEL (Kurdistan Workers' Party/People's Congress), KCK (Union of Communities in Kurdistan), PYD (Democratic Union Party, Syrian branch of the PKK), PJAK (Party of Free Life of Kurdistan), YPJ (Women's Protection Units), TAK (Kurdistan Freedom Falcons), as well as ELAM (Greek National People's Front), KEA (Greek Resistance Movement), Hezbollah, Al-Qaeda, ISIS, Boko Haram, and several other organizations.
