Stormy Weather with Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Northern Cyprus on April 11

The TRNC Department of Meteorology has issued a weather warning for Friday, April 11, with low-pressure systems and cool, damp air expected to move across Northern Cyprus.

Forecasters are predicting partly cloudy skies, accompanied by rain and thunderstorms throughout the day. A storm warning remains in place due to strong winds forecast across the region.

Temperatures are expected to drop 4 to 6°C below the seasonal average, ranging between 14°C and 21°C in most areas. The highest temperatures are forecast for Famagusta and İskele.

Winds from the southwest will be particularly strong, with gusts reaching up to force 7 on the Beaufort scale.

The weather warning will remain in effect until the end of the day.

• Western Coast: Lefke – 19°C, Güzelyurt – 20°C

• Eastern Coast: Famagusta – 21°C, İskele – 21°C

• Karpas Peninsula: Yenierenköy – 18°C
