On the northern side of Cyprus, the price of bread has increased
As of today, the cost of a loaf in stores has risen by two lira. Consequently, a bread loaf that previously cost 10 lira will now be at least 12 TL for buyers.
It's worth noting that the last time bread prices changed in Northern Cyprus was at the end of June. Before the Kurban Bayram holiday, the price of a loaf, which used to be 7-8 lira in stores, increased to 10 Turkish lira. Village bread also went up to 35 TL at that time.
Furthermore, as of today, cigarettes and other tobacco products have also become more expensive in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
