In Northern Cyprus, almost 500 traffic violators were caught
Yesterday, the TRNC police identified nearly 500 drivers who violated traffic rules on the country's roads. Over 40 vehicles have been banned from further use.
According to the police press service, during raids conducted yesterday by road services across the country, 2,645 drivers were checked. 496 violators were held accountable. The operation of 42 vehicles has been prohibited.
206 drivers were caught speeding, 101 individuals disregarded traffic light signals, 13 people were found driving under the influence of alcohol, and another 19 were fined for driving without a license. The remaining drivers were caught for other traffic violations.
