In Lefkoşa, Northern Cyprus, work continues on the construction of the second phase of the Presidential Complex. As of October 12, 2025, this phase includes the construction of the Supreme Court building, the national library, a park, and other infrastructure facilities.

Within the second phase, construction has been completed on a 5,661 m² mosque with a capacity of 2,252 people. Work on the Supreme Court and library buildings is ongoing. The total park area is 452,428 m², of which 290,000 m² are designated as green zones.

The park will include social facilities, children’s playgrounds, four sports fields, two tennis courts, an amphitheater with 1,000 seats, pedestrian and bicycle paths, parking for 1,675 vehicles, and a cafeteria. The project aims to expand public services and create a recreational area for residents.

The first phase, implemented by the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ), included the construction of the Presidential and Parliament buildings and was inaugurated on May 3 in the presence of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and TRNC President Ersin Tatar. President Tatar described the complex as a symbol of the republic’s independence and expressed gratitude for Turkey’s support. The construction site was documented by drone footage from Anadolu Agency (AA).
