7th Watermelon Festival of Culture and Arts to Take Place in Northern Cyprus
Northern Cyprus will host the 7th Watermelon Festival of Culture and Arts this week. The traditional event in Doğancı will run from August 8 to August 11.
Organized by the Doğancı Development Association (DOKAD), the festival is supported by the Lefke Municipality and various sponsors.
The festival will begin with a parade at 6:30 PM, featuring speeches from TRNC President Ersin Tatar, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, and Lefke Mayor Aziz Kaya.
Throughout the festival, visitors will be offered free watermelon samples, and a range of entertainment activities will be available.
The fair will showcase food, beverages, handcrafted items, and souvenirs representing the region's and country's culture. A diverse lineup of concerts will also be featured.
