Three sudden deaths occurred in Northern Cyprus in a single day
Northern Cyprus witnessed three sudden deaths in one day. All three deceased individuals were over 60 years old, including one tourist.
According to local media reports, the tragedies took place in Pashakoy, Yenibogazici, and Famagusta.
According to a police press release, 68-year-old Pashakoy resident Kamal Basari was rushed to Famagusta State Hospital by ambulance yesterday around 09:00 after suddenly falling ill at home. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the man could not be saved. No signs of violence were found during the external examination of the body.
Also, yesterday evening, 90-year-old resident of Yenibogazici, Tahir Akartyurk, suddenly passed away in his home. No signs of assault or the use of force were found during the external examination of the body.
The third incident occurred in a hotel room at one of the hotels in Famagusta. Selahattin Gyurish, a 71-year-old tourist visiting Northern Cyprus, suddenly fell ill and was transported by ambulance to Famagusta State Hospital. The elderly man could not be saved. No signs of violence were found on the body.
The exact causes of death for all three deceased individuals will be determined through autopsy.
