In Northern Cyprus, 45 people have been diagnosed with HIV since the beginning of the year
Today the world celebrates World AIDS Day. The TRNC Ministry of Health reported that from January 1 to November 30, 2023, HIV was detected in 45 people in the country. 23 of them are citizens of the TRNC.
The ministry noted that all TRNC citizens are men. Among the remaining infected patients, 8 are women and 14 are men.
Let us recall that the World Health Organization declared December 1 as World AIDS Day in 1988 in order to draw attention to the problem and raise awareness about this dangerous disease.
