Extreme Heat Wave Grips Northern Cyprus: Weather Forecast for June 7
The TRNC Meteorology Department reports that on Friday, June 7, Northern Cyprus will continue to be affected by low pressure and hot air masses. The air temperature is expected to rise further, maintaining extremely hot conditions across the region.
Temperatures will climb 8-10°C above the seasonal average, with some areas experiencing highs of up to 44°C. The hottest temperatures are expected in Güzelyurt, Nicosia, and Ercan. A moderate northwesterly wind will prevail, and no storms are forecasted for today.
Several weather warnings are in place for Northern Cyprus. The risk of natural wildfires has been elevated to very high, and ultraviolet radiation levels are also extremely high.
Residents are advised to avoid direct sunlight for more than 10 minutes, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without taking necessary precautions.

- Eastern Coast: Famagusta – 36°C, İskele – 37°C
- Karpas: Yenierenköy – 37°C
