Public Health and Patient Rights Association Established in Northern Cyprus
The Public Health and Patient Rights Association has been established in the TRNC with the aim of contributing to the protection and improvement of public health. The president of the organization, Ilker Ipekdal, announced the establishment of the association.
According to the president, the establishment of the Association is a significant step towards making a concrete contribution to the protection and improvement of public health and ensuring that patients have the opportunity to receive medical services under more favorable conditions and with the protection of their rights. The Association intends to participate in all matters of public healthcare.
"Our main goal is to address the sources of patient rights violations, especially in our country, and take concrete initiatives to address the problems together with patients who feel that their rights have been violated. We invite patients and their relatives who believe that their rights in the healthcare sector have been violated and who are seeking where to turn to find out where and how to defend their rights," the head of the Association said.
During the first general meeting of the Association, its authorized bodies were determined.
