Social Assistance Benefits Increased in Northern Cyprus
The Council of Ministers of the TRNC has announced an increase in social assistance benefits and pensions.

According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, the amounts allocated for social assistance and pension payments will be raised by 11.12%.
In addition, the Council has approved an 11.12% salary increase for five individuals receiving wages under the "Family Affairs Allowances" category, starting from January 1, 2025.
The additional expenses will be funded through the "Allowances" section of the Treasury and Accounting Department’s 2024 fiscal year budget. It has also been decided that these expenses will be included under the "Assistance" category.
