In Northern Cyprus, fees for birth and death registration have increased
The TRNC has increased the fees for birth and death registration. The decision was published in the "Official Gazette" and takes effect from today.
According to the document, the fees, regulated by the Regulations on Fees and Charges for Birth and Death Registration, have been increased in line with the annual inflation.
According to the new tariffs, registering a child's birth by written application to the Civil Registry Office at the applicant's place of residence or at the location of birth, which is not a public institution, will cost 100 TL.
Registration within three to twelve months after birth will also cost 100 TL.
Registration after twelve months of birth will cost 200 TL.
The birth registration certificate will cost 10 TL, and registering a name change will now cost 200 TL. Repeat birth registration for individuals whose surname has been corrected will cost 100 TL.
By written application, the Civil Registry Office will register a death at the applicant's place of residence or if the death is registered in a household that is not a public organization for 100 TL.
Registration of death after twelve months will cost 200 TL.
Additionally, correcting inaccuracies in registers and correcting registers in case of a gender change will now cost 100 TL.
