On Northern Cyprus, prices for drinking water have increased
After the establishment of a new minimum wage, prices for basic food products, goods, and services continue to rise in Northern Cyprus. Following milk, bread, and eggs, the cost of drinking water in the country has also increased.
According to buyers, starting from February 1, the cost of 19-liter bottles of drinking water has immediately increased by 5 lira. Now, a canister will cost consumers a minimum of 40 TL. It is noted that water prices have risen for all suppliers across the island.
At the same time, local residents report that in Kyrenia, the cost of a 19-liter water canister from some suppliers reaches 50 Turkish lira.
Also, starting from February 1, prices for gasoline at gas stations and postal service tariffs have increased in Northern Cyprus.
