1,500 Olive Trees Planted in Northern Cyprus as Part of the "One Million Saplings by the 100th Anniversary" Project
As part of the "One Million Saplings by the 100th Anniversary" initiative, the Cyprus Foundation Administration has planted 1,500 olive trees in the Güzelyurt region. The project aims to protect foundation lands, boost their productivity, and promote environmental awareness among the local population.
The olive tree planting event was organized by the Cyprus Foundation Administration in partnership with the Second Regional Fund Management of Istanbul and the Solidarity Association of Environmental Organizations (ÇEKUD). According to the statement, the project’s goal is to support the local economy, combat climate change, and raise awareness about environmental conservation.
"This project, which stands out for its ecological and economic contributions, is a significant step toward creating a greener future for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus," the organizers stated.
