45 ‘Suspicious’ Sheep Seized in Northern Cyprus
Police in Northern Cyprus have seized 45 sheep with mismatched ear tags, leading to the arrest of four livestock owners.
According to a statement from the police, officers from the Crime Prevention Unit of the Nicosia Police Department carried out an operation on the main road near the Ercan–Yonca junction. During a routine vehicle inspection, they found 45 sheep with ear tags that did not correspond to the registered animals.
As part of the investigation, four men—aged 27, 28, 54, and 57—were arrested. Authorities are continuing their inquiries.
