The General Assembly of the TRNC Parliament is holding its final session of this legislative year today. Following an audit, MPs will begin their summer break.
During yesterday's session, the General Assembly passed the "Protocol for the Implementation of the Intelligent Transport Systems Project between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus" and the "Memorandum of Agreement on Construction Works between the Government of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Government of the Republic of Turkey."
The "Proposal for the Cyprus-Turkish Realtors Association Bill," the "Housing Acquisition Bill (Amendment)," and the "Medals and Awards Bill (Amendments)" were postponed and will be discussed at the first extraordinary session.
Today, MPs have gathered for the last time before the break to conduct an audit.
It is noted that during the recess, parliamentary committees will continue to work throughout the summer months. The proposal regarding the work of parliamentary committees during the parliamentary recess was unanimously approved yesterday.
The General Assembly is also expected to hold an extraordinary session to discuss laws on the agenda.
