Three Injured in Stadium Construction Accident in Boğazköy
A serious accident occurred on the construction site of the stadium stands in Boğazköy, Northern Cyprus, resulting in injuries to three workers. The accident was caused by a broken crane boom.
According to the police press office, the incident happened today at 11:45 during the construction of the "Ağırdağ - Boğazköy Yaşar Rahmioglu" stadium stands. The boom’s pivot on the mobile crane, operated by a 51-year-old, detached from the welded part of the structure.
The injured workers are Engin Yılmazoğulları, 51, Savaş Dağkuş, 48, and Yaraş Bebitoğlu, 36. They were involved in assembling and connecting the stands.
All three workers have been taken to Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, where they are receiving treatment. The police are continuing their investigation into the accident.
