Ancient Artifacts Discovered at Construction Site in Gaziveren
During construction in the village of Gaziveren, Northern Cyprus, workers unearthed ancient artifacts. However, the landowner failed to report the find to the authorities, prompting an investigation and a halt to construction.
Local media reports indicate that remnants of historical artifacts were found during construction activities conducted by MMT İnşaat. Residents who noticed the discoveries reported them to the Güzelyurt Department of Antiquities.
Upon receiving the notification, officials from the department, along with law enforcement and forensic experts, conducted an investigation at the site. The artifacts found during the excavation were confirmed to be of historical significance.
Subsequently, construction activities in Gaziveren were suspended by the Department of Antiquities.
