Three people injured in an accident on the Girne–Lefkoşa highway
In the morning, a traffic accident occurred on the main Girne–Değirmenlik road, resulting in injuries to three people.
According to the police, 42-year-old Mehmet Tanyerdağ, driving a truck with license plate AA 651P, lost control on a turn due to inattention. The truck veered onto the right side of the road and collided with a passenger car PA 770 traveling in the opposite direction, driven by 29-year-old Anastassia Kuzenyatkina.
As a result of the accident, the truck driver Mehmet Tanyerdağ, the truck passenger Bekir Şahin, and the car driver Anastassia Kuzenyatkina sustained injuries. All victims were taken to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia, where they are under medical supervision.
The police continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
