Truck Overturned on Nicosia – Famagusta Highway

A truck overturned on the main Nicosia – Famagusta road, leading to the closure of the highway.

According to the police press service, the accident occurred today at 08:40. As a result of the accident, the truck flipped over and blocked the road. Due to the overturning of the truck, a section of the road towards Famagusta is closed from the Dertel intersection.

Until the truck is cleared from the road, the passage to Famagusta is diverted through the rural roads Turkmenkoy - Guvercinlik - Koprulu - Chayonu, starting from the Dertel intersection.

The police have requested drivers using this route to drive slowly and cautiously, adhering to the requirements of road signs.
