Some Roads in Nicosia to Close Today for Cycling Event
Several roads in Nicosia will temporarily close to traffic today due to an upcoming public cycling event organized by the Cyprus Cycling Federation.
According to police reports, the cycling event will commence at the gates of Kyrenia at 19:00. Participants will follow a route that includes Mehmet Akif Street (Dereboyu), Bedrettin Demirel Street, Atatürk Street, and Kemal Asik Journalist Street. The race will conclude at the starting point near the gates of Kyrenia.
Motorized police escorts will accompany athletes along the entire route, and all intersections will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic.
Drivers using these routes are advised to comply with police instructions, observe road signs and markings, maintain appropriate speeds, and keep a safe distance.
