Discussion of the TRNC Budget for 2024 to Begin on Monday and Last for 10 Days
Starting from Monday, the General Assembly of the TRNC Parliament will begin discussing the country's budget for the year 2024. The work on the main financial document will be conducted daily over a period of 10 days.
At today's meeting of the Republic's General Assembly, the work program of the Advisory Council was approved. According to this program, the draft budget for 2024 will be discussed.
The discussion of the document will commence on Monday, December 11, and conclude on Friday, December 22. Work on the bill will continue uninterrupted every day except Saturday and Sunday.
It is known that on the first day, the budget of the President, the Assembly of the Republic, and affiliated institutions will be discussed. The discussion will start with a speech by the Minister of Finance, Ozdemir Bero.
On the remaining days, alongside ministerial budgets, the budgets of institutions and organizations under the ministries' jurisdiction will be discussed. It is also noteworthy that today's session of the Republic's Assembly started with a half-hour delay due to the lack of a quorum.
