Winner of the Fire Safety Day Volleyball Tournament in TRNC Announced

In Northern Cyprus, the third volleyball tournament was held among fire departments and units as part of Fire Safety Week. The Police Fire Department (PGM-Fire Department) emerged as the winners of this competition.

In the tournament final, the teams from the Fire Police and the Nicosia Fire Department faced off. The PGM-Fire Department team triumphed, claiming the championship title.

In the match for third place, the Güzelyurt Fire Department defeated the Famagusta firefighters.

The trophies and medals for the tournament champions, the PGM-Fire Brigade Directorate, were presented by Kaan Reza Sazar, the Deputy Director-General of Police.

The Nicosia Fire Department team, which secured second place in the tournament, received their awards from Hüseyin K. Çete, the Director of the Police Academy. Meanwhile, the Kyrenia Fire Department team was congratulated for their bronze medal by İbrahim Uluso, the Traffic Manager of PGM.

Enver Kaya, the President of the Volleyball Federation, who contributed to organizing the tournament, along with the referees who participated, and Aysin Öztürk, a retired fire chief who served for many years and contributed to the tournament as a player, all received plaques of appreciation from Ramadan Gürpınar, the Chief of the Fire Department.
