A graduate from the Faculty of Education at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) has won an award at Teknofest, Turkey's largest technology festival. Sena Sinem Aydın received the prize for "The Most Scientific Project."

Her team, "Emotion Hunters," was recognized with an award in the "Technological Applications in Psychology" category.

The project involved the development of a digital game that combines fun with learning, designed for young schoolchildren to enhance their emotional awareness. The game forms part of a school of emotion-focused therapy.

To evaluate the project's effectiveness, preliminary trials were conducted in collaboration with classroom teachers. One of the main goals of the game was to improve users' ability to recognize, name, and appropriately express their emotions. The project also aimed to help prevent common behavioral issues such as bullying, aggression, and communication difficulties among children.

Sena Sinem Aydın is a 2011 graduate of the Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Sciences, with a degree in Guidance and Psychological Counseling.
