The medium-term development program for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) for 2025–2027 has been approved by the Council of Ministers and published in the Official Gazette.

This program aligns with the vision set out in the Fourth Five-Year Development Plan (2025–2029), aiming to create a TRNC characterized by steady and strong growth. It seeks to enhance competitive manufacturing capacities with high added value, provide livable spaces, and promote a sustainable environment, all focused on creating a skilled, healthy population, a strong society, and fostering international cooperation.

The program is designed to be proactive, addressing potential risks and challenges arising from political, technological, and socio-economic changes. Additionally, it will guide the development of medium- and long-term goals within the Development Plan, providing tasks and recommendations for national policy.

The goal of the medium-term program is to prioritize macroeconomic policies that ensure inclusive growth across all sectors while improving the overall quality of life in the TRNC through a stable, sustainable, and competitive policy approach.

Throughout the program's implementation, efforts will be made to monitor the sustainability of fiscal policies by overseeing government borrowing and expenditures, alongside the Medium-Term Fiscal Plan for 2025–2027.

The program anticipates an average annual economic growth rate of 6% over the next three years: 5% in 2025, 6% in 2026, and 7% in 2027.

The Council of Ministers has also approved the Strategy, Objectives, and Macro-Indicators of the Fourth Development Plan (2025–2029), which has also been published in the Official Gazette.

The primary aim of the Fourth Five-Year Development Plan is to promote economic, social, and cultural development, taking into account the core values, needs, and expectations of citizens, while enhancing national prosperity and fostering both national and international cooperation.
