The first Turkish Cypriot organization has become a member of the European Network Against Racism
The Human Rights Platform in the TRNC has become the first Turkish Cypriot organization to join the European Network Against Racism (ENAR) based in Brussels. In doing so, it aims to more effectively combat manifestations of racism in Northern Cyprus and Europe.
According to the organization's statement, ENAR plays an important role in combating racism in Europe. With the acceptance of membership in the European Network Against Racism, the Human Rights Platform will intensify efforts to cooperate internationally and develop the most effective strategies to combat discrimination based on skin color or nationality.
"We will continue to work for justice and equality, representing broader perspectives in the fight against racism in Northern Cyprus. Additionally, as the first Cypriot-Turkish organization to become a member of ENAR, we are pleased to announce that this step marks the beginning of a new era in the fight for human rights," the Platform's statement said.
