In the case of the murder of the owner of the currency exchange in Nicosia, migrant without a residence permit has been detained
In the investigation of the brutal murder of the owner of a currency exchange in Nicosia, Aichi Alav, a third suspect has been detained. The individual turned out to be an illegal migrant who lived in the country without a residence permit for 450 days.
According to media reports, the detained person is named Uche Ronnie Katsuba. The police are investigating his involvement in the murder of the businesswoman. It is known that the young man illegally stayed in Northern Cyprus since September 30, 2022. As part of the investigation into the murder of Aichi Alav, the suspect has already appeared before the court in Nicosia and will be detained for one day.
During this time, the police will verify whether the suspect is linked to the murder, where he resided during his unauthorized stay in the TRNC, and whether he committed any crimes during this period.
Recall that another brutal murder, shocking the entire country, occurred in Nicosia last Friday. The victim of the robbers was a 45-year-old businesswoman Aichi Alav. The body of the businesswoman was found in the bookmaker's office "HİT BİT" in Nicosia, next to her exchange office "Alav Döviz." The criminals may be hiding in the Republic of Cyprus.
Earlier, the police detained two suspects who may be involved in the commission of the crime.
