Northern Cyprus is represented at the Dokuntiebeurs 2024 tourism fair, which is taking place in Utrecht, the Netherlands, from January 11 to 14, 2024. The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and the Environment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Fikri Ataoglu, attended the specialized forum.
In his presentation at the exhibition, the minister stated that Northern Cyprus is one of the best tourist destinations in the Mediterranean Basin, as there are activities to engage in throughout the year.
The exhibition is held at the Jaarbeurs exhibition and conference center and will be open to tourism professionals and visitors for four days.
Visitors to the TRNC stand are treated to almond and walnut grape sausages and pastila. The sweets are presented in environmentally friendly packaging, featuring logos and QR codes printed in 85% Dutch and 15% English.
Fikri Ataoglu emphasized that Northern Cyprus is a country that meets all the criteria demanded in the Dutch market.
"We are a preferred country in the Mediterranean Basin because we have events and activities that can be enjoyed year-round, such as bird watching, hiking trails, mountaineering, and camping," the minister stated.
It is noted that visitors to the exhibition are interested in the geographical location, historical, touristic, and humanitarian features of Northern Cyprus.
