New Year Celebrations in Girne Kick Off with a Christmas Market
Girne is set to welcome the New Year with a festive two-day “Christmas Bazaar,” which will take place on December 21 and 22 at Ramadan Cemil Square.
According to the municipality's announcement on social media, the event will feature various stalls showcasing souvenirs, locally crafted goods, and traditional Cypriot delicacies. Guests can enjoy performances by local and international artists, while Santa Claus will delight children by handing out gifts.
The Christmas market will open at 10:00 on both days, offering a full schedule of activities.

Saturday, December 21
- 10:00: Opening of market stalls.
- 11:00: Performance by the Girne Municipality Youth and Children’s Choir.
- Simultaneously, a pre-New Year’s craft workshop for children.
- 11:45: Performance by the “Zeybek” dance group.
- 12:15: Musical chairs game for children.
- 13:00: “Dancing in the Square" event hosted by the "Sea Stars" charity association.
- 14:00–15:00: Santa Claus distributes gifts.
- 15:00: Concert by the Family Orchestra.
- 18:00: Performance show by Diba Turgut.
- 18:30: Concert by the Serdar Tuksal Band.
