TRNC Presidential Representative Meets with Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN
The Special Representative of the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Güneş Onar, held a meeting with Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Anna Evstigneeva, in New York.
During the meeting, which took place at the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation, the two sides discussed the Cyprus issue and regional developments. Also present at the meeting were the President’s Legal Advisor, Sülen Karabacak, and Seniha Birand Çınar, Coordinator of the Bilateral Technical Committees.
Earlier, the President of Northern Cyprus had issued a statement expressing his gratitude to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his speech at the 79th United Nations General Assembly. In his speech, Erdoğan once again urged the international community to recognize the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
