EL-SEN President Addresses Electrical Panel Explosion at Ercan Airport
The President of the Cyprus-Turkey Electricity Authority Workers' Union (EL-SEN) recently spoke about the incident that took place at Ercan Airport.
According to the union leader, an electrical panel exploded at the airport on September 7. The head of EL-SEN claims that the explosion might have been caused by the fact that specialists from the Turkish Cypriot Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) "did not inspect the installation in accordance with regulations." Fortunately, no one was injured.
Although a major disaster was averted, Ahmet Tugcu expressed his frustration over the situation on social media.
"I ask again: Are you waiting for someone to die before you start doing your job properly?" the President of the Electricity Authority Workers' Union wrote.
