President of TRNC Visits National Technological Center in Istanbul
During the past weekend, President of the TRNC, Ersin Tatar, was on a working visit to Istanbul. The head of Northern Cyprus visited the Cultural Association of Turkish Cypriots and the National Technological Center of Ozdemir Bayraktar.
During the factory visit, the leader of the Turkish Cypriots learned about the production and operation of the Red Apple unmanned combat aircraft. In his statement regarding the visit, Ersin Tatar emphasized the importance of having a national defense industry and noted that similar facilities should exist in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
The president added that the work done by young engineers at the center is crucial given the geopolitical and geostrategic position of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Additionally, during the trip, President Ersin Tatar met with leaders and members of the Cultural Association of Turkish Cypriots in Istanbul.
In his address during the visit, the head of Northern Cyprus mentioned his many memories of the Istanbul Association of Turkish Culture, of which he was the president for many years. Ersin Tatar also stressed the importance of the association's work for the independence and freedom of Turkish Cypriots.
