The President of the TRNC visited the 'Facts about Cyprus' Exhibition in Ankara
Yesterday afternoon, the President of the TRNC, Ersin Tatar, left the island and flew to Turkey to conduct engagements in Ankara and Antalya. Yesterday evening, the leader of Northern Cyprus participated in two exhibitions in the capital of the Turkish Republic.
The Cypriot-Turkish leader visited the 'Facts about Cyprus' Exhibition organized by the Directorate of Communications of the Turkish Republic at the Art Gallery and Auction House in Ankara.
Ersin Tatar thanked everyone who contributed to organizing the exhibition and emphasized the importance of documenting history to pass it on to future generations.
The President of the TRNC also reminded that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the peacekeeping operation on July 20. The exhibition opened in Ankara once again demonstrates that the Cyprus issue is a national matter for Turkey.
"No force can break the ties between the TRNC and Turkey," stated the leader of Northern Cyprus.
President Ersin Tatar also attended a reception on the occasion of the opening of the photo exhibition 'Before the Traces Are Erased,' organized to document the traces of Ottoman-Turkish works in the south of Cyprus before they disappear.
The exhibition was prepared in collaboration with the Union of Turkish Municipalities and the Union of Cypriot-Turkish Municipalities.
It is expected that President Tatar will return to the country on Saturday afternoon.
