TRNC President Tufan Erhürman received athlete Hakan Tazegül

On December 17, 2025, TRNC President Tufan Erhürman received TRNC athlete Hakan Tazegül. Tazegül finished first in Turkey in the 40–44 age group at the International Mersin Marathon and in the 44–49 age group at the 47th Istanbul Marathon.

Tazegül briefed the president on TRNC records in middle- and long-distance events and on his achievements in marathon races.

President Erhürman congratulated the athlete on his successes and wished him further accomplishments.

The meeting highlights the international sports results of the TRNC representative and reflects the achievements attained by athletes from Northern Cyprus.
