TRNC President Travels to Zonguldak
TRNC President Ersin Tatar recently left the island and flew to Turkey. He is visiting Zonguldak.
According to a statement from the President’s press office, during his visit to the northern Turkish city, Ersin Tatar paid tribute to the martyrs of the Cyprus Peace Operation, met with Cypriot veterans, and engaged with business representatives.
President Tatar expressed his gratitude to the veterans, highlighting the strong connection between Turkish Cypriots and the people of Zonguldak. In his press statement, he emphasized that "Zonguldak is one of the important cities of Turkey for Turkish Cypriots."
- "We want to welcome our brothers from Zonguldak to our country. Our main goal is to strengthen economic, cultural, and social ties. The people of Zonguldak have experience in port operations and maritime activities in the energy and mining sectors. It is beneficial for us that they share their expertise with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean," stated the Turkish Cypriot leader.
President Tatar also met with Zonguldak Governor Osman Haci Bektaşoğlu, who presented him with a walking stick.
