President of the TRNC to Meet with UN Under-Secretary-General
The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, is scheduled to meet with UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peace building Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo, on February 10.
DiCarlo's visit to Cyprus, Greece, and Turkey in mid-February was previously announced as part of ongoing preparations for an informal, expanded meeting on resolving the Cyprus issue.
During her visit, the senior UN official will engage in discussions regarding the Cyprus issue in Ankara, Athens, and Lefkoşa.
The informal meeting, which will bring together representatives from the two communities on the island, the United Nations, and the guarantor states—Turkey, Greece, and the United Kingdom—is set to take place in mid-March in Switzerland.
