The Presidents of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Turkey exchanged congratulations for Regaip Kandil
President of the TRNC, Ersin Tatar, congratulated the head of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the entire Turkish nation on the occasion of Regaip Kandil.
On the eve, the leader of Northern Cyprus had a phone conversation with the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The leaders of the two countries exchanged mutual congratulations for Regaip Kandil.
The President of the Republic of Turkey also expressed his wish for the Suat Günsel Mosque, which opened yesterday in the TRNC, to be beneficial to the Turkish Cypriots.
It is worth noting that the day before, Ersin Tatar published a message on the occasion of the onset of Regaip Kandil.
"Our greatest desire is for feelings of brotherhood and tolerance to come to the forefront on this blessed day and night, which marks the beginning of three months, leaving behind grievances and dissatisfaction. With these feelings and thoughts, I congratulate our entire people, our brothers in our native Republic of Turkey, and the entire Islamic world on the three-month Regaip Kandil," said the statement by the head of the TRNC.
On the night of January 11 to 12, Muslims worldwide celebrate the festival of Regaip Kandil (or the Night of Raghaib), which marks the beginning of three months during which Muslims will observe important dates.
It is commonly believed that in this night, the parents of the Prophet Muhammad, Abdullah and Amina, entered into the bonds of marriage.
