Protocol on the "Green Schools" project signed in Northern Cyprus
On September 30, 2025, in Northern Cyprus, the Turkish Cypriot Businesswomen’s Association (GİKAD), the International Final University, and the Lefke Tourism Association signed a cooperation protocol within the framework of the "Green Schools" project.
According to GİKAD, the signed document is aimed at preserving, promoting, and passing on the natural and cultural heritage of the Lefke region to future generations. The protocol provides for joint activities designed to make Lefke’s natural beauty and cultural values more visible.
The organization’s statement noted that the cooperation will cover educational and promotional activities within the framework of the "Green Schools" project. Specific forms and timelines for the implementation of the joint activities were not indicated in the published statement.
For residents in Northern Cyprus, this means strengthening institutional efforts to protect the local natural and cultural heritage and a possible increase in informational and educational initiatives in Lefke. Information on further steps and implementation details will be provided by the project parties, according to GİKAD.
