Drunk Driver Breaks Neck in Tatlısu – Kyrenia Accident
An accident involving an intoxicated driver occurred in Northern Cyprus. The tipsy motorist broke his neck.
According to the police press office, the collision happened late in the evening on May 20th, around 10:00 PM in the village of Yalı Mahallesi on the main Tatlısu – Kyrenia road. The 29-year-old driver, under the influence of alcohol, was traveling eastbound behind the wheel of a car. At some point, the man lost control while making a left turn and crashed into the steel barriers on the roadside.
After the impact, the car skidded and collided with the fence once again before coming to a stop.
The driver, injured in the accident, was taken to the Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia, where he is under medical observation. Doctors diagnosed him with a neck fracture.
