217 Foreigners Granted Permission to Buy Property in TRNC
The TRNC Council of Ministers has approved 217 foreign nationals to purchase real estate in the country. The decision was officially published in the Official Gazette.
"In accordance with Law No. 52/2008 on the Acquisition of Immovable Property and Long-Term Leasing (Foreigners), the Council of Ministers has granted property purchase permits to a total of 217 foreign nationals," the document states.
The permits were issued on the condition that the properties are free from any encumbrances.
Interestingly, the document once again does not disclose the nationalities of the approved buyers. In previous approvals, such records typically specified how many were Turkish citizens and how many were from third countries.
This marks the second such approval in 2025. A similar decision was issued in mid-February, granting 159 foreigners permission to buy property in Northern Cyprus.
