Russian Declared persona Non Grata in TRNC for organizing a criminal network
The Council of Ministers in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has declared a Russian citizen unwelcome in the country. Viktor Mikhaylovich Panyushin has been accused of organizing a criminal organization and labeled a "prohibited immigrant."
In the decision published in the "Official Gazette," it states that the 65-year-old citizen "established a criminal organization, committed several other crimes, and was wanted for extradition by Russian law enforcement agencies on charges of abduction by an organized group."
Specifically, it is mentioned that the individual in question is accused of organizing illegal gambling activities and intentionally causing harm to the health of several individuals as part of a group.
In light of this, the Council of Ministers deemed that the mentioned citizen is capable of "threatening the security of the state or causing hostility among the people of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus."
